Our Story

Founded in 2017, Rough Out was built on a simple idea: rodeo should honor not just grit, but also teamwork and tradition. Since then, we’ve brought students, families, and ranch hands together to compete, cheer, and grow as a community. Today, we’re proud to host the Top Hands Tour and the fan-favorite Battle of the Barns — inspiring the next generation of rodeo leaders.

November 29th, 2025. Navasota, Texas.

Battle of the Barns

Our biggest event of the year brings schools, barns, and communities together for a one-of-a-kind team rodeo. Students compete with pride, fans pack the stands, and the arena explodes with unmatched energy.

Our Events

Top Hands & Battle of the Barns

Rough Out hosts two events that bring rodeo back to its roots:

  • Top Hands Tour – Showcasing authentic ranch skills and the grit it takes to be a true hand.

  • Battle of the Barns – Our signature November showdown where schools and barns go head-to-head in spirited team competition.
Both events are built for youth, families, and fans who want more than a show — they want to be part of the action.
